It’s National Poetry Month. Here is a poem about an eel.
The Languid Eel.
The languid eel waits,
Eyes peeled,
Down in dark deep,
For his next meal.
His razor teeth,
Sharp as steel,
Opercular opening,
Flex, breathe.
Languid no more,
He strikes fast,
Unseen.
Unsuspecting squid,
In half,
Clean.
Love it
