I am under no delusion that my little folk- and pop art paintings are anything more than a way to express myself and perhaps bring a bit of joy to my friends and buyers. But this morning I shed a tear of pride when my Happy Coronavirus painting apparently evoked such offense in someone that they had it removed from my shop platform.
Who would ever have imagined my silly little painting would actually create such a stir? I suddenly feel like a Real Artist! I’m like Barnett Newman and his infamous “Who’s Afraid of Red, Yellow, and Blue III”. Not really, but let a gal have her fantasies.
I guess some people aren’t familiar with Danse Macabre genre.
Ohhh I must have one of these little ge(r)ms!
